Read these policies before confirming a new booking. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights under an existing booking. Your non-excludable consumer rights remain protected.
Reservation and commencement
Payment reserves the purchased bag capacity for six months. The 12-month storage term starts only when the first bag is physically received and checked into the Japan storage facility.
Bag limits
Each purchased space covers one securely closed ski or snowboard travel bag up to 25 kg. Oversize, overweight, dangerous, illegal, perishable or inadequately packed items may be refused or charged separately.
Japan transport
Collection and hotel delivery are separate services. Charges are confirmed before payment and may vary by Yamato region, dimensions, remote-area requirements and courier pricing.
Identification and evidence
Snow Locker assigns a Bag ID and may record weight, dimensions, exterior condition photographs, timestamps and movement events. This is an exterior record, not an inventory of contents.
A free extension if your plans change
Need more time? Request one free three-month extension to your six-month check-in window, subject to capacity and written confirmation. If no extension is agreed and storage has not started, we will cancel the reservation and refund the storage fee paid. Please contact us before the displayed check-in deadline where possible. An extension is not automatic, and capacity beyond the original window is not guaranteed until confirmed.
Unused reservations
We will seek to contact you before the reservation window ends. If you no longer need storage, or no extension is agreed, the unused storage reservation will be cancelled and its storage fee refunded. If we cannot reach you, we will use the contact and original payment details on your booking to arrange this. The deadline alone does not start the storage year, authorise another charge or forfeit your storage payment. Contact support if your contact details or original payment method have changed.
Renewal by agreement
Renewal requires your confirmation and a separate payment. We will not automatically charge your card for another storage year. Our team will contact you before the storage period ends to discuss dates, availability and price. Existing account preferences do not authorise an automatic annual debit.
Cancellation
Cancel before your first bag checks in for a full refund of the storage fee paid, with no administration or payment-processing deduction. Japan logistics are assessed separately. After storage starts, unused months are not automatically refundable for a change of mind; we will consider exceptional circumstances. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy. Retrieval and support
Keep contact and hotel details current and contact snowlocker@nippondirect.com.au about retrieval, delivery timing or an outstanding balance. Transport dates remain subject to confirmation.
When storage ends
If your bag is still in storage near the end of the paid period, contact us to agree renewal or retrieval. The end date alone does not authorise an automatic card charge or transfer ownership of your bag to us. Any further paid service must be explained and agreed separately; these terms do not grant a general right to dispose of your belongings.
